When you start out, the diet you picked works great.

Week 1: The first couple of days may be a little hard while you’re adjusting to your new way of eating (WOE) but overall, you think it’s going to work. Then you get on the scale, and HOT DAMN – it works.

Week 2: Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Yes, this is really working.

And so you continue, following the plan you’ve chosen, and losing weight at a rate that you can live with…

But then – something happens. But you’re not sure what.  DAMN IT!

And thus begins the dreaded plateau. And you wait. One week. Two weeks. And your resolve starts to slip.
Why am I doing this? Why am I torturing myself if I’m not going to lose weight? Why not go off the diet a while and then I can start again?

Why feel terrible when you’re trying to do the right thing?
Why bother if you aren’t getting results anyway?

And for many, it is just impossible to feel this way and take care of their kids, jobs, homes, and everything else we try to balance in a given day. Feeling sluggish, sad and depressed – there just isn’t time for it.

A lot of coaches have the “eat less, move more” mentality.

I know that doesn’t really work.

I’m not going to tell you that your chosen way of eating is bad. I don’t care which “diet” you are doing. Low Carb/Atkins, Keto/LCHF, Paleo, Primal, Vegan, vegetarian, raw, HCG – all diets are effective and good for something.
