You know when you first get started on Keto, most people, gurus, and books will tell you to throw away all you non-keto foods so that they won’t be there to tempt you. If I’m honest – I’ve even written it myself in my Keto Kickstart guide.

But, I am always reluctant to write things like that, because I feel that “throwing the food away” and “clearing the house” is really giving your power to the food.

And the thing, is that we can’t run away forever. There’s always going to be some situation where you will be faced by “your nemesis.” (LOL)

Personally, I would RATHER you tap on and remove the source, the cause, the core and not have to do battle with it anymore.
 
But that said, *IF* you can’t tackle it. If you can’t get a handle or an angle on it – then by all means, throw the crap out while you do the work. When you feel stronger, you can bring some of those foods back in and work on them individually without feeling overwhelmed.
 
Just know that my hope for you ISN’T to have you running and hiding from food for the rest of your life – that’s no solution. Mastering your emotions, and your relationship with food – that’s a solution.
