Where Did the Workouts Go and Why I Brought Them Back

If you contacted me asking about the “missing” workouts – THANK YOU!

You might have noticed me changing things up over here at Chez Christy. Castle Christy? Over at the website…. I’d gotten a business coach and was doing a bit of re-branding in an attempt to reach more peeps, create more of an impact, and just generally to help and support more.

I joined some groups, talked to people, hob-nobbed (you know how it is) and really felt like I was in-sync with the people I was connecting with. An unfortunate byproduct was that  in order to “fit in” I needed to ignore some parts of who I was, shut down and not share some of the things I was interested in and basically pretend to be someone I wasn’t.

Truthfully, some of the people in these groups were very judgemental. If they saw the words “weight loss” they would kick me out or ban me. If I talked about health, the haters would crawl out of the woodwork to speak out against me. So, I pulled a majority of my pages, and freebies because of what they thought.

And not only did I alienate some people – I alienated myself.

And in trying to fit into the mold they created for me I was constricted, confined, and not feeling very Christy. And that made me saddy-face. And I started to withdraw, and be quiet, and hide because I didn’t want to get attacked.

But Intuitive Eating is not another religion like any of the other diets your been on, and you shouldn’t treat it as such. It’s more of a mindset or a mindfulness practice. And many of the participants are treating it like a religion. As if it is some sort of magical experience that all of sudden makes things better. And there *is* a freedom that makes it feel better than most ways of living/ways of eating – BUT YOU HAVE TO WALK YOUR OWN PATH. You have to choose your own way. You get to make up your own rules.

And my rules, my path, part of my self-care is fitness. And so, I brought the workouts back. As before, you can check them out here: Workouts of the Week

And just to be clear, I am not a fitness expert or personal trainer. These are workouts I have made for myself and am sharing freely with you. Should you decide to use one, you accept responsibility for yourself and your body.

If you’re interested in any of the Intuitive Eating books I suggest, you can check them out here: Mindful Eating Book Round Up
