How To Make Up Your Mind (Already)
So many of us struggle with procrastination and reluctance to make decisions. For whatever reason we are afraid to make a one-and-for-all decision… especially when it’s a Big One. But there are people that have a hard time making small decisions about insignificant things too. It seems that a majority of people who have a hard time making decisions tend to do one of these two things:
- They decide “YES, but” They decide with their brains (consciousness) at least 90% (sometimes more) of the way, but then they let their guts or their heart needle and whine until they second guess themselves into an eventual “NO”!
- They can’t decide on much of anything. These folks on the confidence of others to make the decisions for them. Because they don’t trust their own inner guidance, they ask everyone they know for their opinion; becoming more and more confused. These people have a tendency to stay stuck in the “I don’t know what to do, so I’ll just do nothing.”
In order to be successful, we must make a total (100%) decision that what you think you want is actually what you do want – no back and forth, no wishy-washy, no options or “plan B”s allowed!
Many people make a decision most of the way, but aren’t confident in their decisions, and thus are not fully committed, and so they end up sabotaging themselves. They second guess and question their decisions with a constant stream of “but”s and “what ifs”. So, if you like Big Butts and you cannot lie… well, I think this is your exit.
Anything less than 100%, from a Law of Attraction perspective, is like half-expecting. And half-expecting gets you half-assed results. You send the Universe mixed signals – you get mixed results.
Anything less than 100% and you’re giving yourself the option to fail. You’re creating your Plan B. And you’re telling the Universe that, “yeah, it’s ok if I don’t get that…. I’m not sure I really want it anyway.”
Anything less than 100% and the smallest obstacle will stop you from going after and attaining (and obtaining) what you truly desire.
Here are two examples of Big “But’s”:
Initial Thought: I would love to work with a coach and learn how to fire up my weight loss, improve my mindset, and get on the road to a body I love.
The Big But: I can’t afford a coach. The good ones cost so much money. Where will I get that kind of cash? I should just forget it and go it alone. (Because that’s been working well, so far. Right?)
OR
Initial Thought: I would really love to beat my sugar and carb addiction.
The Big But: But, I can’t give up my rice, bread, and pasta. And nobody better touch my ice cream. Eff’ it, it’s useless to try.
It is critical to make a complete, total, all-in (aka 100%) decision! What I have figured out while on this journey is that any action is better than no action. This is especially true in your personal life. So don’t let the fear making a mistake paralyze and freeze you and convince you to do nothing. Remember this mantra, let it stay in the forefront of your mind forever and ever:

How To Cure Indecisiveness
In order to cure indecisiveness you simply have to ask yourself these two questions:
- Is this something I want to be, do, or have?
- Is being, doing or having this taking me closer to my goal? (Does being, doing, or having this get me closer to feeling the way I want to feel?)
You should get a “YES” as answers to both of these. Easy peasy right?
So, if it’s so easy, why don’t you already have it?
What’s stopping you or slowing you down from having it right now?
